The National Museum of Korea is the country’s flagship museum and also the largest one in Korea. A must-visit for history and culture lovers!

Museum layout:
1st Floor: Prehistoric & Ancient Artifacts, Medieval & Modern History
2nd Floor: Calligraphy & Paintings, Donation Exhibits
3rd Floor: Sculpture & Crafts, World Cultures (including a China section)
Admission:

The permanent exhibitions are free to enter.
Special exhibitions may require a ticket purchase.
Tips for visitors:

The permanent galleries are huge—you’ll want at least 2+ hours to explore comfortably.
Chinese guided tours are available and highly recommended for a richer experience.
Tours last about 50 minutes and start at designated meeting points (see signage inside).
Opening hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:30 PM)
Wednesday, Saturday: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM (last entry at 8:30 PM)
