Sotetsu Hotels The Splaisir Seoul Dongdaemun Deluxe Corner Family Twin Room

Assigned to a twin room located on the 19th floor. According to the official website, this room is categorized as a Deluxe Corner Family Twin, featuring two windows at the corner of the room.

Being on a high floor, the city view is quite appealing. One window faces Dongdaemun Fashion Town, while the other offers a panoramic view stretching from the skyscrapers in Jongno and the slopes of Bukhansan to Namsan Seoul Tower.

The view alone makes this room a standout, earning high marks as a "view hotspot." The room is equipped with Simmons beds—a super single and a king size—making it suitable for up to three guests, offering a practical and comfortable stay.

Although the windows are large, they are not double-glazed, which makes the room vulnerable to cold temperatures. On this day, the temperature dropped to -7°C, and despite the continuous heating, the room temperature only rose from 19°C upon check-in to a maximum of 23°C, and it did not go higher.

Even with the curtains and blackout curtains fully closed, the cold air persisted, making it quite chilly and difficult to sleep comfortably at night. The next morning, I tried the breakfast located on the 2nd floor.

Breakfast includes a main dish, along with a salad bar offering a few types of bread, fruits, and salads. During the hour I was there, only two tables were occupied. I wouldn’t particularly recommend the breakfast. The hotel has a high proportion of foreign guests.

Although the room is spacious, it does not include a bathtub, which is somewhat surprising for a Japanese hotel brand. All three hotels in this chain boast excellent locations and great value for money, making them popular among both domestic and international guests. Thank you.
