Shilla Stay Guro Deluxe Double Room with High-Floor Panoramic City View!

Review of a stay at Shilla Stay Guro, a business hotel brand of Shilla Hotels. The hotel is located near Guro Digital Complex Station on Line 2.

Although the hotel is diagonally across from the subway exit, there is no direct crosswalk, so you need to take a detour and cross 2-3 traffic lights.

The hotel is a standalone building with the lobby on the first floor, a restaurant on the second floor, and guest rooms from the third to the 21st floor. Some rooms have bathtubs, while others do not.

To stay on a higher floor, you need to book a Deluxe Room. Initially, I was assigned a room on the 21st floor, but since it didn’t have a bathtub, I was reassigned to the 20th floor.

Check-in can involve some waiting. You need to register via KakaoTalk, similar to taking a number ticket, so a smartphone is required for check-in. I waited about 15 minutes.

The 21st floor also has a gym and lounge area, which are accessible until 10 PM. If you want breakfast, you can request it during check-in and receive a 12,000 KRW coupon. If you didn’t reserve breakfast in advance, on-site options seem convenient as well.

The hotel building has a lightning-shaped design, offering views in four directions. However, some views are partially obstructed by nearby apartment complexes. From the assigned room, I could see Guro-gu and Yeongdeungpo-gu.

The view was better than expected. The bathtub area has a glass wall facing the bed, but it can be covered by closing the door.

Bathroom amenities include Aveda products, two bottles of water, drip coffee, and various teas.

Soundproofing isn’t perfect, as some external noise can be heard. Overall, it’s a cost-effective business hotel. Thank you.
