Stanford Hotel Myeongdong Family Twin Edge Corner City View Stay

Review of the newly opened Stanford Hotel Myeongdong, located right across from Lotte Department Store Sogong Branch and next to Ibis Ambassador. The hotel reception is on the 9th floor, and guest rooms are on floors 10 to 18.

I chose the Family Twin Edge Corner City View room, which offers a spacious 30-square-meter area. My room was on the 15th floor, providing a view of Namsan Tower. Although there were available rooms on the top floor (17th), they faced a construction site near Euljiro Entrance Station, so I was assigned a room with a better view. 🙏

The corner-side room features floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a wide view despite being surrounded by buildings. You can spot nearby hotels, Namsan Seoul Tower, and Lotte World Tower. However, the proximity to Ibis Hotel means curtains need to be drawn for privacy. 🤣 The bathroom is spacious, with a large bathtub and shower.

The central elevator requires a transfer at the 9th floor, but the emergency elevator conveniently goes directly to the 1st floor, making it easier to go in and out after check-in. The room has a carpeted floor and a sealed window design, which enhances the open feel but limits ventilation. Thankfully, an air purifier is provided as a standard amenity. The soundproofing is excellent.

I didn’t try the breakfast since I stayed on a weekday, but it’s served as à la carte on weekdays and buffet-style on weekends. This new hotel in the heart of Myeongdong offers great value for money and is likely to become very popular. Thank you!
