Sotetsu Fresa Inn, a hotel chain with numerous locations in Tokyo, Japan, has made its debut in Korea, specifically in the heart of Myeongdong. The hotel is centrally located within Myeongdong, making it an ideal spot for travelers.
The hotel stands 13 floors high, and the Corner Twin Room is a unique choice. There is typically only one such room per floor, designed in a diamond 💎 or fan shape, offering views in three directions. While the view is not entirely open due to surrounding buildings, the room does feature a compact view bath, adding to its value-for-money appeal.
The room is equipped with a clothing styler and boasts excellent facilities. Considering the quality, the price of around 100,000 KRW per night is quite reasonable. The reception is located on the 13th floor, and there is a free lounge space available for guests.
Breakfast is offered in a unique way, similar to Japan's METS hotel chain. Guests can purchase coupons for affiliated restaurants instead of dining directly at the hotel. In Japan, this often involves dining at Denny's. However, breakfast was not utilized during this stay.
True to the Japanese business hotel style, the rooms are not basic and, being in Korea, are relatively spacious and not cramped. Check-out is available until 12 PM, and both check-in and check-out are handled through unmanned kiosks. The hotel operates as a cashless establishment, accepting credit card payments only.
The hotel's location, nestled in the bustling city center, enhances the feeling of being on a sightseeing trip, similar to hotels in areas like Dotonbori, Shinjuku, Tenjin, and Susukino.
Next time, I would like to stay in a Deluxe Room with a view of Namsan Seoul Tower. The hotel also has Japanese staff members, which adds to the convenience. Thank you.
