A visit to Seoul wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the grandeur of Gyeongbokgung Palace!
This stunning historical site is not only the largest of the Five Grand Palaces but also a fantastic spot to dive into Korea's rich heritage.
One of the highlights of my visit was witnessing the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the main gate. It takes place every hour from 10 AM to 4 PM, with a special ceremony at 11 AM and 2 PM, featuring colorful uniforms and traditional music. Arriving a bit early is a great idea to find a good spot to watch and take some amazing photos! 🎉📸
For an even more immersive experience, consider renting a hanbok, the traditional Korean attire! Many rental shops in the area offer hanbok for a reasonable price, and the best part?
When you wear a hanbok, you can enjoy free entrance to the palace! 💖👘 It’s a fantastic way to stroll through the palace grounds while feeling like you’ve stepped back in time.
Tips:
✨️Arrive early to rent a hanbok hassle-free. They will make your hair, too. The reasonable price would be 15000won per 2-hour renting. I even made it to Bukchon Hanok Village in this dress.
✨️Rental spots are OUTSIDE the Palace territory Make sure going there first.
✨️The first ceremony is at 10am. If you arrive before it, you can secure yourself a spot.
