Eunpyeong Hanok Village is a newly developed hanok village located at the foot of Inwangsan and Bukhansan mountains in Eunpyeong District, Seoul. While it may not have the historical charm of Bukchon Hanok Village, it boasts a unique appeal by blending traditional simplicity with the serene ambiance of nature. Over 100 hanok houses have been constructed in harmony with the surrounding landscape, featuring residential homes, cafes, restaurants, and the Eunpyeong Historical Hanok Museum, which showcases the history and significance of Korean architecture.
What makes Eunpyeong Hanok Village particularly captivating is its stunning scenery, which sets it apart from other hanok villages in the city. Strolling through the clean streets lined with hanok houses, with towering mountains as a backdrop, offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of the capital.
Easiest Way to Get There
The most convenient way is to take Subway Line 3 to Gupabal Station (구파발역), Exit 1. From there, transfer to Bus No. 7723, which takes only 10–15 minutes. Get off at the Hana High School / Samcheonsa / Jingwansa Entrance stop, and the village is just a short walk away. This is the most direct and straightforward route for tourists.
