[Yamagata] Learned history at the Yamagata Prefectural Museum!

This museum mainly exhibits historical materials related to the natural and social history of Yamagata. There are many fossils from an era before the dinosaurs excavated in Yamagata, and I was able to get a deeper understanding of Yamagata's history.

Particularly famous are the Yamagata Great Sea Cow and the Jomon Goddess. The large sea cow fossil excavated in Yamagata tells us that this was once the sea. The Jomon Goddess is known as a cultural asset, and I was impressed to see it for the first time.
