Hotel Recommendation in Seoul: Voco Myeongdong🇰🇷

After this trip, I can say I highly recommend Voco Myeongdong.

First of all, getting there from the airport is very easy. Just buy a bus ticket for the 6001 line and get off at the Voco stop. On your ticket, you’ll see which platform to wait at. Buses come every 10–20 minutes, so you don’t wait long. Once onboard, the driver will check your ticket, tag your luggage with a numbered sticker, and give you the matching slip. When you get off, he checks the numbers to make sure no one takes the wrong bag. The ride starts on the airport highway, which takes a while, so you can relax. Once the bus enters Seoul city, you can either check your map or just listen to the announcements—they’re also in Chinese. When your stop is called, press the red button above your seat. At the stop, the driver will unload your luggage for you. You don’t need to carry it around yourself at all—straight to the hotel.

As for the hotel itself, I personally didn’t find the rooms as small as some reviews say. I could fully open my 32-inch suitcase without any problem. The bed was king-size—definitely more than enough space for one person. The room was very clean, and all drinks in the minibar were free and refilled daily.

There’s even a 24-hour convenience store on the first floor of the hotel. It’s not very big, but it has a microwave and feels very safe for solo female travelers. If you walk out and turn left, there’s also a slightly larger convenience store nearby.

In terms of location, it’s super convenient. There’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel, a subway entrance just to the left, and Uber can pick you up right at the entrance.

On the last day, going back to the airport was just as easy. From the hotel, simply cross the street and take the 6015 bus directly to the airport. You can check the schedule online, but buses also come every 10 minutes or so. The fare is ₩17,000 cash, and the driver can give change. The ride took about an hour with no traffic. Again, staff helped unload luggage when we arrived at the airport.

Overall, it was a very smooth and convenient experience from start to finish.
