[Mt. Sumizuka and Mt. Kunimi] ⛰️ Kansai 100 Famous Mountains

🏖️Overview:

On the border between Uda City and Soni Village🎑 in Nara Prefecture, there are Mt. Kunimi with an elevation of 1016m and Mt. Sumizuka with an elevation of 1009m. In the ancient history book📘 "Nihon Shoki," the story📖 of Emperor Jimmu subjugating the Yamato region, there is a legend that the Emperor defeated Tsuchigumo Yasotakeru👤 who lived on the hill of Kunimi and built a temporary palace here, making this a historically significant mountain.

💞Reasons why we recommend it:

Park your car at Byobuiwa🪨 Park. The road up to here is narrow, but it's a counter🉑. The parking lot🅿️ is spacious and has a toilet🚽. The beginning of the hiking trail is a bit dark and eerie, but after a while it becomes easier to walk from start to finish. Mt. Sumizuka will reach the summit⛰️ in no time. The view was only half, 180 degrees🙆♀️. Then we headed to Kunimiyama. There were some places where the rocks were exposed and we had to rely on ropes🪢, but we arrived at the summit safely. The view was beautiful and we had a meal🍱 here.
