
Nanqingyuan Scenic Area is located in the center of Sanqing Mountain in Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It is the most unique scenic area in Sanqing Mountain with an average altitude of 1,577 meters.
Nanqing Park showcases the granite peaks and forests formed over 1.4 billion years of geological evolution, representing the essence of Sanqingshan's natural landscape. It forms a loop from Liuxia Terrace through Yuhuang Peak, Giant Python Emerging from the Mountain, Goddess of Spring, Azalea Valley, and Yixiantian to Youxian Valley.
Several iconic landscapes of Sanqing Mountain are located in this scenic area, with strange peaks and rocks, majestic mountains, magnificent sea of clouds, and rare flowers and trees scattered throughout, creating a rich landscape.
Shangrao City has a warm and humid climate, belonging to the subtropical humid climate. This warm climate, abundant sunshine, plentiful rainfall, and a long frost-free period allow for lush crop growth. Major weather hazards include winter snow, drought, lightning, and heavy rain.
The most impressive sights in Nanqing Park are the several iconic peaks of Sanqing Mountain, such as the giant python emerging from the mountain and the goddess of spring, which are both vivid and spiritual.
The main viewing platforms in the scenic area are all excellent locations for watching sunsets and sunrises, such as the sunset and sea of clouds at Liuxia Terrace, and the sunrise, sunset and divine light at Yutai, which are magnificent and colorful.
There is also a Millennium Rhododendron Valley covering hundreds of acres in the scenic area. The valley is full of rhododendron trees that are thousands of years old. When the flowers bloom from May to June every year, the fragrance fills the mountain, which is quite spectacular.
