Checking Out the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda

#springitinerary Checked out the Temple of the Eight Immortals in Xi’an and wow, this place is a vibe. It’s one of those old Taoist temples that feels super alive, like incense smoke curling through the air, locals actually praying (not just tourists snapping pics), and fortune tellers chilling in the corners, ready to read your destiny.
The whole place has this mysterious, slightly spooky charm, think ancient murals, red lanterns, and that “something magical might happen” feeling. I wandered around, threw in a few coins, and even watched an old guy burn paper offerings like it was totally normal (because here, it is). It’s not flashy, but that’s what makes it cool, feels real, raw, and kind of like you stepped into another world. Perfect little detour if you're into temples with soul and stories. Bonus: hardly any crowds. Super underrated spot in Xi’an.
