Melaka is a popular destination for day trips, especially from Kuala Lumpur, thanks to its rich history, diverse cultural heritage, and vibrant food scene. My day trip with friends to Melaka turned out to be a truly enjoyable experience.
We arrived in Melaka early in the morning and explored several iconic attractions, all within walking distance. Our itinerary included visits to A Famosa, Dutch Square, the Taming Sari Tower, Jonker Street, and a scenic walk along the Melaka River. The compact layout of the city made it easy and pleasant to explore on foot.
After a full day of sightseeing and wandering around the charming Jonker Street, we headed to LōuKót Cafe for dinner. The highlight of our meal included their signature Mutton Biryani, Biryani with Rendang Chicken, LōuKót Curry Bread, and a comforting Chai Latte. The food was flavorful and satisfying — an excellent way to wrap up our trip.
