【Shanghai】Yu Garden

If you're going sightseeing next time, this is the place to go! Apparently!

Since we were there after lunch, we walked from Nanjing Road!
I think it took about 20 minutes?
During that time, we could see the prosperous cityscape of Shanghai and the residential areas of Shanghai from a long time ago, and the journey to Yuyuan was really fun 🫶

We arrived at Yuyuan just before evening, so we took a short break and had milk tea at CHAGEE before the lights came on!

I had oolong milk tea, and you can choose the sweetness from normal, a little less, half, slightly sweet, or none. I don't like it too sweet, but I thought it would be nice if it wasn't too sweet, so I chose slightly sweet, but it was sweet enough!!
We got a large size because we were sharing one cup for two people, but it was perfectly drinkable!
The milk tea was so delicious that I wanted to try it on the first day!
If you go to Shanghai, please try this!

When I went out for a break, it was lit up and it was really beautiful...😳
It feels like an old Chinese building, but maybe because it's red, the lights look amazing. Just walking around was a great way to enjoy the atmosphere and it felt like a tourist spot! It was so much fun!

There were so many restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops lined up, and they all looked so delicious🫣
I wanted to eat baked xiaolongbao afterwards, so I held back!
But there were also a few places like a food court with all kinds of food, and they looked so fun and delicious, so I think it was worth going!

I enjoyed the streetscape while taking a walk to the garden, and then I headed to the garden!
The twisting and turning is said to ward off bad luck👿

Apparently you can pay the entrance fee and go inside in the daytime, but I went to see the night illuminations this time, so I didn't do that😭 Next time I'd like to go during the day and see inside too!! It was a tourist spot where you can enjoy the scenery of good old China! I really felt like I was in China, so I recommend it when sightseeing in Shanghai!
