Magic City offers free exhibition visits, and today I checked in at the Liu Haisu Art Museum. The 'Ink Play. Playful Ink' exhibition brings together ink opera paintings by artists such as Guan Liang, Ding Liren, Han Yu, Nie Ganyin, and Zhu Zhengeng.
They use opera as a bridge and the character designs on stage as blueprints, employing various techniques such as freehand, abstract, and intentional expression to perfectly combine the tension of drama with the connotations of ink painting, condensing the essence of the stage onto the canvas.
