A visit to He Dong's former residence in Shanghai: experiencing the harmony of history and modernity

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the former residence of He Dong in Shanghai. I usually only see business districts and modern buildings, but this place brought me fresh surprises and deep impressions.

Architectural beauty that gives a sense of history
The former residence of He Dong is a two-story building that incorporates Western architectural styles. When I saw it for the first time, I couldn't help but stop in my tracks. The first floor is lined with Ionic columns, and the balcony on the second floor is delicately decorated.
Looking at the details of the building, you can feel the texture of the years. And yet, you can see that it has been well-maintained.

#Fusion with modernity
What surprised me was the modern design of this historical building. The bright blue arches blend mysteriously with the classical building. At first I felt a sense of discomfort, but after looking at it for a while, I was drawn in by its boldness and beauty.

This design seems to be accepted by the younger generation as well. Seeing young people taking photos of it on social media, I realized that it has become a place that is loved by people of all generations.

#Urban Oasis
Lush greenery surrounds He Dong's former residence. As someone who usually works surrounded by office buildings, this green space provided a comfortable sense of peace. Taking a deep breath under the large trees, I felt like my daily fatigue was relieved a little.

#New Discovery
Inside the building, there was a stylish cafe space. The experience of enjoying coffee in a historic building was fresh and luxurious. Next time, I would like to bring my family and enjoy a leisurely cup of tea.

#Thoughts
Through this visit, I was impressed by Shanghai's attitude of protecting history while responding to modern needs. Even in the business world, the balance between tradition and innovation is always a challenge. I think He Dong's former residence shows the ideal form of this.
