Introducing Xianren Cave

Guiyang Xianren Cave, located on a mountain between Xianren Cave Road and Shuikousi Road in Guiyang, is a famous Taoist attraction. It consists of three caves: Xianren Cave in the mountainside, Xiandeng Cave at the top, and Baxian Cave above Xiandeng Cave. Statues of the Eight Immortals, including Zhang Guolao and Lü Dongbin, are housed within the caves.

Legend has it that the Eight Immortals were playing chess in a cave. A giant rock and a tortoise were battling in the Nanming River below. Lü Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals, threw a chess piece, causing the tortoise to flee. The rock then shattered into the shape of a boat, commonly known as the " Ship Rock . " Located on the Nanming River near Shuikousi Primary School, the Ship Rock is a natural, boat-shaped boulder rising above the water, a landmark below the Immortal Cave. Today, the Ship Rock still exists, resembling a boat moored in the wild .
