Qiuxia Garden | A famous classical garden in Shanghai with beautiful scenery

There is a scenic spot with an ancient style in Jiading District, Shanghai. It is a combination of the private gardens of the Gong, Shen, and Jin families and the Yimiao Temple. It is a classical garden in Shanghai, as famous as Yuyuan Garden, Guyi Garden, Zuibaichi Park, and Qushui Garden. This scenic spot is Qiuxia Garden. There are not many tourists here, and you can enjoy the New Year atmosphere and almost have the whole place to yourself!

Qiuxia Garden was built in the Ming Dynasty and is divided into four scenic areas: Taohua Pool, Ningxia Pavilion, Qingjing Pond, and Yimiao Temple. The layout is compact, with a clear water pond in the center, surrounded by stone mountains and ancient trees. Walking in the garden, you will have a unique feeling of "a different view with every step."

🌈Highlights:
✅ Enter the garden from the south gate and first arrive at the Yimiao Temple (Chenghuang Temple) scenic area. The main hall, Gongzi Corridor, and sleeping palace are all relics rebuilt during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty.
✅ Ningxia Pavilion scenic area was originally the site of the Shen family garden. The courtyard and corridor in the garden are connected and winding. The courtyard walls are mostly equipped with windows, and trees and flowers are planted in the garden. The scenery changes as you walk, appearing and disappearing. The area is centered on the large screen mountain built with Taihu stones, surrounded by buildings such as Ningxia Pavilion, Liaoyan Hall, Youcheng Hall, Fushu Hall, and Shuyu Studio.
✅ Taohua Pool scenic area was originally part of the Gong family garden. The area is centered on Taohua Pool, with various buildings built on the mountain or by the pool. The Caotang on the pool is shaped like a boat, so it is also called the Boat Pavilion, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Taohua Pool.
✅ Qingjing Pond scenic area is the site of the Jin family garden. The pavilions, trees, flower paths, streams, ponds, hills, and embankments are either open or closed, large or small, bright or dark, with endless changes. It has a strong rural atmosphere and is a good place to relax.
