Stop longing for foreign fishing villages; you can experience the romance of a small fishing village right in Shanghai. Here, you can take in the breathtakingly beautiful sunset over Dianshan Lake🌇 Previously, I shared a guide to the Dianshan Lake flower sea🌸, and this time I’ll take you into the Dianshan Lake small fishing village🏃 There’s the majestic Baoguo Temple, an ancient ginkgo tree that has witnessed a thousand years🌲, intoxicating sunsets, lively swimming fish🐟, fresh wild shrimp🦞, and roaming crabs🦀 — it’s truly a paradise for photos and check-ins!

Jinze Ancient Town
📍Located at the westernmost part of Qingpu, it’s peaceful and serene, with few people and beautiful scenery. Best of all, it’s free to visit! Spend a leisurely 3 hours here to fully enjoy the tranquility of time. Parking is free and convenient🅿️ so you can confidently drive here.
Baoguo Temple
📍A grand temple filled with a solemn and majestic atmosphere. Remember to arrive early as it closes at 4 PM. No admission fee here either🙅 Inside the temple is an ancient thousand-year-old ginkgo tree🌲 full of historical charm. You can taste simple vegetarian dishes at the entrance, and there are plenty of coffee shops nearby to rest if you get tired. Parking is also free and convenient🅿️.
Order of Visit
Spend about an hour leisurely exploring Baoguo Temple, then walk about 300 meters behind it to reach the Dianshan Lake small fishing village. The village has many stalls selling fresh lake delicacies🦐🐟 Afterward, you can take photos and check in by the lake, chasing that intoxicating sunset🌅 and maybe even spot wild egrets flying freely. This trip takes about 2 to 3 hours. Afterward, head to Zhujiajiao Ancient Town in the evening to enjoy the charming night view.

🚗 From Shanghai, it’s just a 1-hour drive to start a relaxing trip.
🚘 From Hangzhou, it’s about a 2.5-hour drive to reach this beautiful spot smoothly.
🚇 Take Metro Line 17, get off at Oriental Oasis Station, then transfer to a bus.
🚌 Take Qingjin Line, Demonstration Area Route 8, or Qingshang Line, get off at Dianfeng Road Station (2 stops), then walk about 800 meters🚶 to reach the destination. Public transportation is super convenient too.
