A water town accessible by subway from Shanghai, Zhujiajiao

Zhujiajiao Ancient Town is an authentic water town accessible by subway from Shanghai. You can get off at Zhujiajiao Station on Metro Line 17 and walk about 1 kilometer to reach it. It’s a wonderful place where you can feel a peaceful atmosphere just a short trip from the city.

I arrived in the evening, and there weren’t many tourists, so I was able to explore at a relaxed pace, which was great.
Inside the ancient town, there are many stylish tea houses and cafes, so you won’t have any trouble finding a place to rest.

If you stay overnight in the ancient town, you can take an early morning walk and experience a special time.
I ate a lot of meat zongzi from various shops here, and it was very delicious. Highly recommended.
Try to find the dragon mailbox at the old post office. It’s very unique.
