Shanghai Staycation for Kids｜A Family-Friendly Hotel in Chongming We've Stayed at 3 Times

During the holiday, we took the kids to Shanghai’s backyard: Chongming Island.
Our whole family stayed at the Hyatt for two days, with a variety of fun family activities every day. Although we have stayed at this hotel three times, it still feels fresh each visit. The service is great, the food is excellent, and the stay is comfortable. Definitely worth multiple visits~

📍 Shanghai Chongming Jinmao Hyatt Hotel
It normally takes about an hour and a half to drive from the city. During the holiday, there was some traffic, so it took 3 hours. Parking at the hotel is convenient.

🏠 Stay
The Hyatt Garden View King Room is 47 square meters, giving a feeling of a traditional Chinese garden upon check-in. The decor is a bit dated but still pleasing, and the room is very clean.
This hotel is also pet-friendly, with a large lawn where pets can run around. You can see many adorable furry friends.

🏕 Play
There are different family activities every day during the 7-day holiday.
There are artisans in the lobby painting sugar art, making Chinese knots, blowing sugar figurines, and clowns handing out gifts...
Kids can also make their own burgers and flower-decorated fans, so you can have lots of fun without leaving the hotel.
The indoor pool has a baby pool and a standard pool, with clean water.
The Transformers playground has a large slide that kids love the most.
The campfire party includes singing and dancing around the fire, and you can play with sparklers. It’s super fun and exciting.

🥙 Food
The breakfast buffet includes freshly pulled Lanzhou noodles that are very tasty and worth waiting in line for.
In the evening, we dined at the Pin Yue Chinese Restaurant, serving authentic Shanghai local cuisine. Don’t miss it. The Dongpo pork is amazing, made from free-range Chongming black pork, fatty but not greasy, melting in your mouth, perfect with rice. The white-cut chicken is very tender and deboned.

🚞 Nearby Attractions
It’s very close by car from the hotel to Yingdong Ecological Village, the popular dam, and Dongping National Forest Park.
The slow pace and natural environment of Chongming Island make it perfect for a vacation. Love it so much~
