Shanghai is the largest city in China, where Chinese culture and modernity, as well as East and West, blend together, making every building and street charming.
It is a popular travel destination not only for Chinese people but also for foreigners and Koreans.
Here, I will recommend must-visit places and travel itinerary courses for 3 nights 4 days and 4 nights 5 days in the trendy travel destination, Shanghai.
✔️Must-visit places:
-The Bund & Nanjing East Road
The Bund and Nanjing East Road are famous spots for Shanghai’s night view.
The Bund is located on the west side of the Huangpu River and features European-style buildings. It’s beautiful during the day, but especially stunning at night with its dazzling lights.
-Oriental Pearl Tower
The Oriental Pearl Tower, a landmark of Shanghai, stands 468 meters tall and is the second tallest building in Asia.
Inside the tower, there is an observation deck, restaurants, and a history museum.
-Yuyuan Garden
Yuyuan Garden offers a glimpse into traditional Chinese architecture and culture.
It was built over 400 years ago by Ming Dynasty official Pan Yunduan for his father’s retirement. Here, you can admire traditional Chinese buildings, enjoy famous local restaurants, and shop for souvenirs.
-Disneyland
Asia’s largest Disneyland is located in Pudong, Shanghai.
With the addition of Zootopia Park last year, it has become even more popular.
Shanghai Disneyland offers many attractions including photo opportunities with various characters, spectacular parades, and fireworks, making it a great place to visit with children.
-Xintiandi
Xintiandi is a place where Chinese and Western architectural styles merge, with beautiful streets and buildings that attract many tourists.
There are many shopping malls and department stores nearby, and a variety of dining options including Chinese, brunch, French, and Italian restaurants.
-Wukang Mansion & Wukang Road, Anfu Road
Wukang Mansion, built in 1920 in the French Renaissance style, was a filming location for the movie "Lust, Caution."
It is popular as a photo spot among locals and tourists. Behind Wukang Mansion, Wukang Road and Anfu Road are lined with large trees and European-style buildings, making them popular wedding photo locations among Chinese people.
The streets also have many charming accessory shops and cozy brunch restaurants and cafes, making it a favorite spot for locals as well.
-Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall
The Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall was established at the site of Yun Bong-gil’s 1932 independence movement action in Lu Xun Park. It is a historic site of Korea’s independence movement.
Inside the memorial hall, you can see exhibits about Yun Bong-gil’s life, background, history, and key artifacts from the event, making it a good place to visit with children.
