For those with early flights, I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Pudong Airport. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and fully equipped with conveniences. The staff are attentive and friendly, and there is a free shuttle bus to the airport with the first trip at 5 AM. If your flight is later, the staff can arrange a car for you at your desired time. The hotel is one station away from the airport.
How to get there: Take metro Line 2 and get off at Haitiansan Road station.
Then walk another 400 meters, or if you have a lot of luggage, you can call a DiDi.
