It's a compact area you can quickly explore, located right in the heart of Shanghai, so it might be a good place to quickly experience Old Shanghai.
You can enjoy it in less than an hour.

There is a department store right next door, so on hot days, you might want to cool off there.

However, since it mainly caters to tourists with souvenir shops, personally, I think old towns near Shanghai like Zhujiajiao Ancient Town are more fun!
There isn’t much gourmet food.
