Shanghai: Our two-day itinerary 🐉

Day 1 – Exploring Central Shanghai

🏨 Hotel Drop-off
We dropped off our luggage at the Magnificent International Hotel.

🌺 Yuyuan Area & Yu Garden
We walked to the Yuyuan Area, where we sampled delicious street food and visited the beautiful Yu Garden (#yugarden).

🛍️ People’s Square & East Nanjing Road
We took the metro to People’s Square, then strolled along East Nanjing Road, a great spot for #shopping.

🏙️ The Bund & Huangpu River Walk
We enjoyed a scenic walk along the Huangpu River and admired the skyline from The Bund, with views of Lujiazui’s skyscrapers including the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower (#pearltower) and the Shanghai Tower (#shanghai_tower).

📖 Historic Visit
We visited the Communist Party of China First National People’s Congress Convention Center Memorial Hall, a site rich in modern Chinese history.

Day 2 – Culture, Art & City Views

🏰 Tianzifang & the French Concession
In the morning, we took the metro to Tianzifang, where we bought some charming souvenirs. Afterwards, we explored the French Concession area, known for its colonial architecture and tree-lined streets.

🏛️ Temples & Tranquility
We visited Jing’an Temple by metro, then continued on to the Jade Buddha Temple, where we enjoyed a peaceful and serene atmosphere.

🌳 1000 Trees Complex
We walked to the unique 1000 Trees complex, an architectural landmark filled with greenery and art spaces.

🏙️ Skyline View to End the Day
We wrapped up the day with a panoramic view of the city from The Stage Viewing Platform – a perfect way to end our Shanghai adventure.
