A hotel set in a prestigious garden

InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin
InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin

I stayed at the InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin, a hotel in central Shanghai that exudes a sense of tranquility and elegance that feels like another world.

When I arrived at the hotel by DIDI, I saw several buildings on the property.
I was dropped off at the nearest building, but was told that check-in was in a different building, so I was taken to the main building by hotel cart.

Once on the cart, I realized that the vast grounds were dotted with multiple buildings, giving it more of a small residential neighborhood feel than a hotel. I was also given a map of the grounds.

Check-in was smooth, and English was spoken.
The wooden key card I was given was a real treat.

The lobby, hallways, guest rooms, and restaurant were spacious, and while not brand new, they were well-maintained. The antique-inspired interior had a lovely feel.

The hotel is located in the former French Concession area, surrounded by historic buildings. It was perfect for strolling.
With just a little more walking, you have excellent access to the downtown area and tourist spots. Tianzifang and Xintiandi are also nearby, making it convenient for strolling and shopping.
It was a hotel that gave me a sense of elegance that I can't experience anywhere else.
I'd love to stay here again.
