Visit Ayutthaya, Japanese Village

#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck

We'll take you on a trip to Ayutthaya, where we'll explore an important historical and cultural site reflecting the long-standing relationship between Thailand and Japan dating back to the Ayutthaya period. The site is called "Japanese Village."

Japanese Village was originally a community of Japanese who traveled to Ayutthaya for trade and military service in the late 16th century. They were granted land to settle on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River, close to other foreign communities such as the Portuguese and Dutch villages.

Today, Japanese Village has been renovated and developed into a museum and memorial commemorating Thai-Japanese relations. It features a beautiful Japanese-style garden and exhibits on important figures such as Yamada Nagamasa, also known as Okya Sena Apimuk, and Thao Thong Kip Ma (Marie Guimar, the Portuguese-Japanese woman who was the queen of Thai desserts).
