The garden with Western-style houses in Shanghai where you can spend an entire afternoon for free is amazing!

❤️ After snapping photos at Wukang Mansion, are you ready to move on? Wait a moment, just a 10-minute walk along Xingguo Road (the dense plane trees and the unique brunch cafes along the way are also very photogenic), and you will arrive at Xingguo Hotel, a 70,000-square-meter old Western-style house garden in the city center.

🔥 Many of the Western-style houses in Xingguo Hotel were villas built by the Swire Group in 1930 for their senior employees. There are about twenty to thirty small Western-style houses inside, with buildings 1, 2, 6, and 8 being particularly distinctive.

🪴 Building 1
This was the residence of the Swire Group leaders at the time, featuring French style with majestic columned corridors that are very elegant and spectacular.
Building 1, with nearly a century of history, is full of legendary stories. From being the residence of the Swire Group leaders during its early construction to later housing Chen Yi and temporarily Chairman Mao. Many prominent figures have brought a rich historical and cultural heritage.

🪴 Building 2
Brick and wood structure in British countryside style.
Currently used as office space.

🪴 Building 6
A mix of British and French styles, with a 270-degree panoramic view facing the large lawn. The century-old camphor trees on the lawn seem to tell the stories of the past here.

Building 8
In 1956, it served as the municipal party committee guesthouse, mainly hosting important state guests.
In 1980, it joined the then Shanghai Donghu Group.
In 2001, it joined the Radisson Hotel Group and became the "Xingguo Radisson Hotel."
Now Building 8 is used as the hotel conference center,
hosting government events, weddings, company team-building activities, and more.

👏 Lawn weddings are often held on the large lawn. If you happen to come across one, join in witnessing the happy moments of the newlyweds!

🏠 Address: Xingguo Hotel, No. 78 Xingguo Road
