
Jingying Scenic Area is located in Yingsi Village, Xicun Township, Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City. It is located in the core position of Yuntaishan World Geopark in the South Taihang Scenic Belt of China. There is a naturally formed basin of 100 acres here. The surrounding 30 square kilometers are surrounded by mountains and water, with streams and waterfalls crisscrossing. The average summer temperature is 5 to 7 degrees lower than that in the urban area. It is known as a " paradise on earth " .
The scenic area is named after the Jingying Temple, a thousand-year-old temple in the central basin. Since ancient times , it has been known as the " place where sages and saints reside . " It was the place where Master Huiyuan, the " ancestor of Buddhism ," preached; it was an important retreat for Jing Hao, the founder of the Northern School of Landscape Painting; it was the birthplace of the renowned Yuanxian Tongbei Quan (Yuanxian Tongbei Quan); and it is the source of the ancient Wei River, the source of the historical Shanghai River.
It is home to China's northernmost population of wild macaques, Henan Province's largest white pine, the breathtaking peaks and forests of the southern Taihang Mountains, and the largest collection of cliff carvings in northwest Henan. The scenic area, a blend of unique mountains, caves, waterfalls, springs, ancient temples, pristine lakes, white pines, secluded valleys, and stone carvings, has earned it the reputation of a " natural oxygen bar " and a " paradise of caves and blessed land . "
The crews of "Sleeping on the Hard Bed and Tasting Gall", "Human Emperor Fuxi", "The Biography of Sun Tzu", "The Big Foot Queen", "The Legend of Lao Tzu" and other productions as well as CCTV crews have all filmed in the scenic area. Jingying is becoming a new filming base for film and television dramas with its unique charm.
