Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Jing An Temple Review

The hotel opened in 2024, so it's still quite new.
The location is close to the famous Jing'an Temple and a shopping mall, about 1 kilometer from the hotel, which is walkable. It seems to be near a subway station, approximately 600 meters away, but I didn't use it. I only used Didi rides. From the hotel to The Bund, the fare was about 120 THB.
The hotel here feels very modern. The rooms are brand new. The Standard Room is well-designed, featuring a 55-inch TV (Android devices can cast to the screen, but not Apple). The lighting system is touch-controlled, and there are USB Type A, Type C ports, and even wireless charging. The curtains are automatic.
The bathroom is well-equipped. The water temperature adjustment system has a screen to set the exact temperature, and the toilet flush is operated by a foot sensor instead of a button.
Facilities include a laundry room with free washing, drying, and ironing services (detergent is already in the machine, so no need to bring your own). I loved this feature because I packed light and needed free laundry services, haha. There's also a fitness room, though it's small but sufficient for a workout.
Breakfast is free, but I didn't try it because I always woke up at noon. However, the hotel offers free coffee from a machine 24/7.
