Exhibition Closing Countdown: 1 Day｜Buddha Story Stele

The Buddha Story Stele is a stone carving artwork in the Maijishan Grottoes, featuring 14 key life stories of Buddha Shakyamuni from birth to nirvana, carved in panels in a style similar to a comic strip. These include "Entering the Womb on an Elephant"—depicting Shakyamuni transforming into a white elephant and entering the womb of his mother, Queen Maya; and "Parinirvana under the Sala Trees"—showing the scene of Shakyamuni’s passing (nirvana) under the twin sala trees.
