Lantern festival At Yuyuan Garden must be included in the TO-DO list of places to visit in Shanghai. This place is not located in down town, however It can be reached easily by taxi or by metro as there is a metro station called Yuyuan garden 5 minutes walking.

The whole visit, including taking pictures, should last between 1 to 2 hours but cpuld be longer depends on the crowd. It is a big place, colourful and with a beautiful architecture. The colourful lanterns lit up at night is magical. they are designed in different shapes and styles decorating the traditional architecture tastefully.

This place is in excellent condition, you don’t need to use your imagination as you can see all details well-preserved. The place and the location are very scenic for those who love photography. After the visit, you can also enjoy some shopping or nice food as there are many restaurants and shops around the area.
