Original Art Deco details at the Fairmont

There is no way you can miss the beautiful Art Deco architecture of the Fairmont Peace hotel when you first see it. But have you ever taken a look at the details before? Sassoon, the original owner, had his pet hounds immortalised in the decoration of the building as the unofficial mascots. Look for them on the windows and in the plaster work.

If you’re lucky, you can take a peek inside what used to be the old management building and see a beautiful original stained glass window!
