Night Stroll at Wuyuan Ancient Pagoda | 7-Day Jiangxi Travel Diary!

A 7-day journey in Jiangxi, experiencing something different every step of the way! 🙌

First of all, people in Jiangxi absolutely love spicy food 🌶️. Compared to Guangdong, I found it a bit hard to get used to. Guangdong cuisine tends to be milder, so the sudden burst of spiciness in Jiangxi was a real challenge for my taste buds 🤣! Honestly, the food options in Jiangxi weren’t as diverse as I had imagined. Many restaurants focus on spicy dishes, so if you prefer lighter flavors, you’ll need to search a bit harder.

In terms of history and culture, some places didn’t feel as historically rich as I expected. Instead, there were more man-made attractions and light shows, which are great for taking photos 📸. For example, I visited Wuyuan at night, and its ancient pagoda is a landmark of the city. The lighting at night was stunning, with colorful lights creating a chill vibe. The distant view under the drizzle even had a poetic feel to it! 🌈

The people in Jiangxi are generally polite. Whether taking a taxi or dining at a restaurant, everyone was friendly and kind ☺️. However, when it comes to hygiene, there’s still room for improvement compared to Guangdong. Spitting on the streets is still quite common, and I really hope this will improve someday!

If you want to experience the beauty of traditional Chinese architecture at night, consider visiting Wuyuan Ancient Pagoda for a photo session and a relaxing stroll:
Address: Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province (Recommended Night Spot)

Overall, Jiangxi has its own pace of life and unique food culture, making it a great destination for those who love exploring local customs and traditions. Observing the little details of a city is part of the travel experience, and I look forward to my next adventure! 🛫
