The hardworking people of Panzhoujia Village have a unique skill: making handmade noodles. Famous throughout Pujiang County for their long, thin, chewy, and smooth texture, these noodles are said to stretch several kilometers. The story of cooking a single noodle in a large pot was even featured on Zhejiang TV. Today, someone has developed a specialty for handmade noodles and even registered a trademark, calling it "Panzhoujia." The packaged noodles are now exported to cities as far away as Hangzhou. Now, with over 500 households and a population of over 1,600, every household in the village knows how to make noodles. Panzhoujia's handmade noodles, also known as longevity noodles, can be stretched over 100 meters from a single pound of flour. They are so chewy they resist breaking even when used for skipping rope.
