Hiking in Abujicuo|The snow-capped mountains will hear your wishes 🏔️

✈️ At the age of 23, I did the bravest thing: I traveled alone from Guangzhou to #Yunnan with a backpack.
When I landed in Kunming, I realized that it was not lonely and scary to set off alone.
It could be the subtle influence of friends around you, or it could be that you saw a touching video on the Internet.
On December 15, 2023, I started my first snow mountain in my life - Abujicuo. It is winter now, and for safety reasons, the small loop line of #Shangri-La Abujicuo has been closed, so all teams need to take the large loop line to complete their hiking plan.
Before the hike, I did not prepare to strengthen my body, and I mistakenly believed the information that "even a novice hiker can walk to Abuji Co." I lost contact with the world for 10 hours, walked 26 kilometers round trip, walked on muddy stone roads, walked on plains covered with horse manure, walked on knee-high snow slopes. It was my first challenge at the age of 23. The snow-capped mountains forgave my ignorance and arrogance.
The children in the south saw snow, touched snow, and walked on snow for the first time. The initial expectations were gradually eroded by one "slope of despair" after another. 26 kilometers round trip is not a simple number; 10 hours of hiking is not a time that can be wasted at will.
To reach the entrance of Abujicuo, you have to walk about 2 kilometers on a gravel road and then reach the foot of a snow-capped mountain. This was the first slope of despair for me. In fact, I had already given up at this point, but the guide encouraged and confused me, "The top of the mountain is just ahead, come on!"
I fell behind the group, and as the altitude increased, every two or three steps on the snowy road, I, who was not in very good physical condition, had to catch my breath for a few minutes before I could continue walking with difficulty. Fortunately, I persisted. Since I was already here, I had to reach the top!
I landed in Kunming on the first day, went directly to Shangri-La on the next day, and climbed the snow-capped mountains on the third day. Before that, the altitude sickness was not obvious. Perhaps it was the protection of the snow-capped mountains that helped me gradually adapt and climb to a mountainside at an altitude of 1,200 meters. I began to experience mild altitude sickness, and at this time I was still 2 kilometers away from the summit. I had no regrets because I knew I would come again.
The guide was very nice and responsible, and he returned several times to observe my condition. The guide said: Actually, your lips had turned black when you first started, but they returned to normal after you adapted.
My companions were very strong and took good care of me. I had no time or energy to take pictures of the amazing scenery, so they recorded my first time.
I am very grateful to them and feel lucky to have met them during this trip.
📝【Tips for finding a guide】
Itinerary: At 6am, the guide will wake you up at the morning call and pick you and your friends up at your B&B/hotel, then you can get to know each other at a nearby breakfast shop. It took about 30 minutes to drive to the entrance, where the guide distributed trekking poles and we began hiking.
The round trip of the small loop in summer is about 6 hours (slow walking to the top version)
The round trip of the large loop in winter is about 12 hours (fast walking to the top version)
Difficulty: Hiking beginner (like me) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Scenery: Winter has its own beauty, but summer should be more beautiful. I play conservatively ⭐️⭐️⭐️half
