Playing in the Snow at Shangri-La Balagezong

Balagezong Park, a 4A level park, is a must-visit for tourists going to Shangri-La.

If you visit Balagezong during the winter season, starting from around December until mid-May, you can play in the snow at a spot called Shambhala.

After May, the snow might melt and there won't be any left to play with.

Some tourists who arrive at Balagezong should buy an additional ticket to get to this snow play spot because it's very beautiful, although the ride might take quite a while.

🚖 How to get to the park from Shangri-La Old Town:
There are two ways to travel:
📍 Buy a one-day trip tour from the old town.
📍 Hire a taxi.

We recommend the first option, buying a tour from the old town, as it's very convenient and you can get on the bus right in front of the old town.

The tour purchase location in the old town is at the dance square.
