This is the last hidden paradise—Balagezong, a place once isolated from the world, where you can experience all four seasons in a single day.
**Tickets**
• Standard Combo Ticket: Entrance + Scenic Area Shuttle Bus for 170 RMB/person; an additional 75 RMB/person is required to visit the Shangri-La Holy Stupa (highly recommended).
• Other Paid Activities: Echo Cliff Zip Line (120 RMB), Grand Canyon Rafting (120 RMB).
**Transportation**
• **External Transportation**:
- **Self-Driving**: About a 1.7-hour drive from Shangri-La, with parking available outside the scenic area. The road conditions can be challenging, so it’s advised to have an experienced driver.
- **Public Transport**: Independent travelers can take the scenic area shuttle bus from the North Gate Parking Lot near Jian Tang Police Station in Dukezong Ancient Town. The bus arrives at the parking lot at 8:45 AM and departs promptly at 9 AM, with a one-way trip taking about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Gather at Dukezong Ancient Town at 8:30 AM for the bus, which takes over two hours to reach the scenic area. The return bus leaves at 5 PM for Dukezong. If driving to the Holy Stupa, only the scenic area shuttle bus is permitted.
• **Internal Transportation**: Scenic area sightseeing requires the shuttle bus.
**3-Day, 2-Night Itinerary**
• **Day 1**: Arrive at the scenic area entrance, take the shuttle to the Shangri-La Holy Stupa, and marvel at the natural stupa. Then head to Echo Cliff for activities like the cliffside hiking trail, Sky Mirror, and zip line. Arrive at Balagzong Village by evening. On clear days, enjoy the "Sunlight Over Golden Mountain" view from the balcony of the Cliff Miracles Hotel. Join the hotel’s bonfire party at night.
• **Day 2**: Depart from Balagzong Village to Dayong, hike to Naidang Pasture, passing through primeval forests and alpine meadows while admiring the snow-capped mountains.
• **Day 3**: After breakfast at the Naidang Pasture campsite, descend and choose to return to Lijiang or Shangri-La. Stop by the Grand Canyon for rafting on the way.
