Heavenly Escape in Shangri-La

The Shangri-La Grand Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in Yunnan and even in the whole country, with a total length of about 154 kilometers.
Unlike the V-shaped canyons that many people have seen before, the cliffs and valley bottom on both sides of the Shangri-La Grand Canyon are U-shaped.
The most dazzling thing in the canyon is the emerald green Gangqu River, which is the mother river of Bala Village and a rushing river formed by the melting snow from icebergs.
Hiking along the 2.5-kilometer-long wooden sightseeing tunnel, you can see the cliffs by the river pointing straight to the blue sky, with a drop of 3,500 meters. On the return trip, you can choose to raft in the Grand Canyon back to the starting point.
