Songzanlin Monastery, the largest temple in Tibet in Yunnan Province

Ambience/Location - Very beautiful. The temple is golden yellow. There are real monks living in the temple. There are quite a lot of tourists. You have to walk up hundreds of steep steps. If you have bad knees, I recommend hiring a car to take you up. It is a local car that parks and provides service.
