The garden of a feudal lord from the Edo period that remains within Hikone Castle is a pond-style strolling garden that is a luxurious example of Edo culture. The castle tower viewed across the pond is picturesque.

#Azuchi Castle Sogenji Temple Ruins
You can see Lake Biwa from the remains of the main hall
The existing three-story pagoda was moved from Choju-ji Temple in Koga County, Omi Province when Sogenji Temple was founded, and is designated as an important cultural property of Japan
The Niomon Gate was moved from Kashiwagi Shrine in Koga County, Omi Province when Sogenji Temple was founded
This is also still standing
Along with the Kongorikido statues at the left and right side gates, it is designated as an important cultural property of Japan
