DAY 1️⃣ First Encounter with the Snow Mountain
Arriving at the hotel in the afternoon was breathtaking. On the grassland at No. 13, Xiaxuezu, Jiantang Town, six alpacas were grazing.
When checking in, the butler served hot ginger tea, and the room’s floor heating and oxygen machine immediately eased the altitude sickness.
At dusk, watching the sunset turn Shika Snow Mountain golden through the floor-to-ceiling window, I suddenly understood what "paradise on earth" means.

DAY 2️⃣ Prairie Pastoral Song
Woken up by the sound of yak bells early in the morning, after enjoying a small pot of rice noodles in the 270° snow mountain view restaurant:
🦙 Cute pet interaction: The hotel’s own alpacas are very friendly; for just 10 yuan, you can buy a carrot and get a clingy buddy.
🐎 Grassland riding: The butler will help contact local herders; horseback riding across Yila Grassland costs 150 yuan/hour.
📸 Tibetan costume experience: The free Tibetan robes and jewelry are perfect for photos; took some of the best shots of my life under the prayer flags.

DAY 3️⃣ Snow Mountain Secret Realm
A 20-minute private car ride takes you directly to the Shika Snow Mountain cable car station (remember to bargain down to 80 yuan round trip). In May, you can still see the snow line.
After descending, I recommend visiting the hotel’s Black Bean Coffee House. Drinking a highland rose latte while watching herds of cattle and sheep outside the window is the true way to enjoy Shangri-La.

① The altitude causes large temperature differences between day and night; a light down jacket is a must.
② Remember to book the "Scenic King Room" on the 2nd floor, where you can watch the snow mountain sunrise lying in bed.
③ The hotel offers shuttle service with a business vehicle for airport transfers.
