Ganzhou's new hotel brand Unna returns to its hometown

In recent years, domestic homestays and boutique hotel brands have rapidly expanded in second- and third-tier cities, with some becoming popular for a time and others gradually disappearing. This time, the new hotel brand Unna is located in Shangyou, Ganzhou, marking a return to the hometown by its owner and the birth of a new brand.

From a design perspective, since the owner has an architectural background, both the architecture and planning are impressive. The use of Spanish red bricks makes the building stand out among ordinary homestays. The landscape is still undergoing final adjustments, so it remains to be seen. I stayed in a lake-view suite this time, which offers views of the inner lake and part of the South Lake. The interior decoration and layout are quite reasonable. My favorite part is the outdoor private bath, which creates a great atmosphere with candles at night.

The hotel has a total of 57 rooms. I also toured other suite types, and the larger ones are equipped with tatami tea rooms (which can also serve as separate rooms). The color scheme leans more towards green, which I personally find average. I prefer the type of room I stayed in. The in-room amenities are all up to five-star standards, including Le Labo 33 and Dyson products.

In terms of soft services, breakfast currently features a large and tasty set combining Chinese and Western styles. The Chinese restaurant focuses on Jiangxi and Cantonese cuisine, which can be spicy or mild, and the flavors are quite good. There will also be a teppanyaki restaurant in the future. The hotel is currently in its trial operation phase, and the overall experience is good. The entire hotel is built to the quality of a high-end boutique hotel. How it will maintain this quality, create its unique personality and brand story, and whether its subsequent services can meet expectations remain to be seen.
