A Two-Day, One-Night Family Trip to Shanwei! A Stress-Free Getaway for Moms

Whenever I'm unsure where to go for fun,
a little voice in my heart always says "Go to Shanwei!"
We've visited Shanwei three times in total,
each time with kids, and it's always been so relaxing.

here's our itinerary for reference:
Day 1️⃣: Drive from Shenzhen ➡️ Erma Road for food ➡️ Jinting Bay ➡️ Whale Bay Town
✔ About 2-hour drive from Shenzhen to Shanwei
Erma Road downtown has tons of delicious eats
Parking options: Xinli Building/Vienna Hotel (Feicui Bay Branch)

✔ Jinting Bay
7-kilometer coastline
Perfect for kids to play in sand and waves
Also has swimming areas, jet skis, parasailing, sailboats and other water activities

✔ Whale Bay Town
Seaside amusement park featuring coastal train, Ferris wheel, go-karts, bumper cars, carnival games, etc.

Day 2️⃣: Most Scenic Highway ➡️ Windmill Island ➡️ Sea Fortress ➡️ Honghai Bay Zhelang Wonder
1. On the second day, head to Windmill Island via the Most Scenic Highway - great photo ops.
2. Navigate to Windmill Island's Shallow Bay - breathtaking views.
3. The South Sea Guanyin Scenic Area and Sea Fortress are in the same area - worth visiting together, absolutely spectacular.
4. Honghai Bay Zhelang Wonder (¥15 admission) has fine, soft sand - ideal for kids to swim.

There are few hotels in Honghai Bay area - mostly local homestays. The accommodation experience isn't as good as Jinting Bay, but the beaches here are more pristine and beautiful.
