Temple Trekking in Shanxi

#chinatravel Checked out the temples around Qilian Mountain and Snow Mountain in Shanxi, and honestly, it was such a cool combo of nature and culture. The temples up here have that classic ancient Chinese vibe, wooden beams, colorful roofs, and peaceful courtyards, but the real showstopper is the insane mountain backdrop covered in snow. Total eye candy.

Walking around the temples felt super chill but also kinda adventurous with fresh mountain air and those stunning snowy peaks all around. The contrast of warm temple colors against the cool white snow was so pretty. It’s a perfect spot if you wanna escape the city and just breathe in some nature while soaking in some history.

Not too crowded either, so it’s easy to wander around, snap pics, and just vibe with the calm atmosphere. If you’re in Shanxi and want a mix of culture and killer mountain views, these temples at Qilian and Snow Mountain are a sweet spot to hit up.
