When the black-sailed boat enters Cangqiao Street, you will arrive at the real Jiangnan

Cangqiaozhi Street is located in the core area of Shaoxing Ancient City. It runs from north to south and is 1.5 kilometers long. It consists of three parts: river, residential houses and neighborhoods. It has the most complete "one river and five streets" water town pattern in Shaoxing.

On both sides of the street are Shaoxing's unique Taimen buildings and many ancient residential houses from the late Qing Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty. The road retains the unique bluestone slabs of the ancient town. The river passes through the neighborhood, and the black-sailed boats on the river slowly pass by. Sitting by the window of the small shop on both sides, drinking tea and coffee is all very pleasant. Looking at the scenery of the small bridges, flowing water and people under the window, it is full of the charm of the Jiangnan water town.

The commercialization here is quite high, with many popular snacks and shops, and many tourists. You often have to queue up on weekends, such as Aqiu Shiwantou, Kong Yiji Restaurant, Qingteng Book House, rice wine popsicles, and rice wine milk tea.

Popular snacks: Mulian tofu, stinky tofu, shredded radish cakes, rice wine milk tea (Huijingxuan glass bottles can be taken away), fennel beans (a must-eat when visiting Shaoxing), etc.
Popular shops: Kong Yiji Restaurant, Qingteng Book House, Gao Laotai Cream Xiaopan, Yuexiang Wang Laohan Stinky Tofu (with sweet and spicy sauce), Lu Ji Xiaoxian Meat Crispy Chicken Biscuits (with kimchi version)
