Follow the classic Keyan itinerary and you won’t go wrong! Upon entering the park, head straight to the core area where you can immediately see the iconic Qiyun Shigu rock formation. This 30-meter-high giant stone tapers from a thick base to a thinner top, crowned with green trees. Its millennium-old, unyielding appearance is truly stunning. When taking photos, be sure to find the right angle to capture both the rock scenery and the blue sky in one frame.
Not far away, don’t miss the Tiangong Grand Buddha, carved into the mountain with a smiling face. The pool in front of the Buddha reflects its image. Stand quietly by the shore for a while to feel the ancient and Zen atmosphere. Afterward, head directly to the dock to take a painted boat. The breeze is very pleasant as the boat sails on Jian Lake. When passing the ancient fiber path, you can take a wide shot—the bluestone path runs along the lake, full of Jiangnan charm.
Finally, stroll around Luzhen. On the bluestone road, you’ll see sculptures of Ah Q and Kong Yiji, instantly recalling scenes from textbooks. At the street shops, you can buy a yellow wine popsicle and try the savory fennel beans. If you happen to catch a Yue opera performance on the stage, stand and listen for a while to immerse yourself in the water town’s local culture.
