Architectural wonders in Shenzhen

The Shenzhen Civic Center is the administrative heart of the city and an iconic landmark within the area. As Shenzhen is such a young city it was built with a master plan for its future, the grid system is really impressive with this amazing civic Center at the core.

It’s the biggest open space in the downtown area with the city built up around it on all sides, it’s the perfect place to take in just how impressive Shenzhen is.

The open space spreads from the bottom of Lianhacun park right down to the downtown malls, so you can take a leisurely stroll through the civic Center and then head for food.

Within the Center there’s a part of the Shenzhen museum along side a technology museum dedicated to the development of manufacturing around the city.

There are plenty of restaurants, toilets and shops around the outside of the Center and underground in the numerous metro stations that serve the area.

Head to Civic Center station or children’s palace Station on the metro and follows the signs
