Shenzhen Outdoors｜The Cloud Library: A 1-Hour Hike Up the Mountain

The "Cloud Library" is really just a gimmick.
Who would actually climb to the top of a mountain to read a book? 😂
But as a mountain rest stop,
it's perfectly fine for enjoying a coffee and taking some photos.

From the mountaintop, you can overlook Yantian Port.
The cafe inside the library is M Stand; it opens at 10:00.
Coffee starts from CNY 28 a cup ☕️, but you can also bring your own drinks.
It's almost impossible to find a seat on weekends and holidays,
so just sit on the steps—it's a great photo op too. 😅

You can't drive up the mountain. Here are three options:
1️⃣ Drive to the Tea Stream Valley parking lot and take the Yunhai Special Line B or C to Yunhai Square.
2️⃣ Take the subway 🚇
Take Metro Line 8 to Haishan Station. From Exit B2, walk 7 mins to Yating Hotel and take the Yunhai Special Line A bus 🚌 to the terminus.
From Yantian Road subway station, take the Special Line C bus to the terminus.
From Nanyue subway station, Exit B, take the Special Line D bus to the terminus.

3️⃣ Hike up the mountain (Picture 8)
The trailhead is behind the bright red Yantian Port Fire Station. Just follow the signs all the way up. It takes about an hour, and you'll even cross an old railway line 🚞 along the way, which is very picturesque (Picture 9).
If you're driving, you can navigate to the "Haibin Holiday parking lot." Parking is CNY 10 all day. The trailhead is just across the street.

🇭🇰 Friends from Hong Kong can take the M348 bus from Liantang Port to the Yantian Seafood Street intersection and walk 4 mins to the trailhead, or take a 17-min taxi ride to the trailhead.
