The Taojin Mountain Greenway and Qiushui Mountain, located at the border of Luohu and Longgang in Shenzhen, offer a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban landscapes for a full-day hiking adventure.
Transportation Guide
Take bus 64 or M140 to Taojin Mountain Greenway South Station, then walk to Cuiyin Station.
Detailed Route Guide
Cuiyin Station to Jinshan Pavilion: Starting from Cuiyin Station, follow the greenway to enjoy the stunning views of Shenzhen Reservoir. Along the way, you’ll pass scenic spots like Siyuan Pavilion. A 15-20 minute uphill hike will lead you to Jinshan Pavilion, the best viewpoint to overlook Shenzhen Reservoir, Hongfa Temple, and Wutong Mountain TV Tower.
Jinshan Pavilion to Qiushui Mountain Summit Platform: Descend from the other side of Jinshan Pavilion and follow the signs towards Qiushui Mountain. After passing through the archway of Qiushui Mountain, turn left down the steps to enter the area known as "Shenzhen’s Mini Great Wall." If you have the stamina, continue climbing to the summit plaza for breathtaking urban views.
Qiushui Mountain Summit Platform to Qixia Station: From the summit platform, descend along the Taojin Mountain Greenway, passing attractions like Shuangqiao Garden. Continue forward to reach Qixia Station.
Return from Qiushui Mountain: From the summit platform, follow the winding mountain path downhill, keeping an eye on the roadside signs directing you to the Qiushui Mountain Park exit. Upon reaching the exit, choose your preferred transportation method. If taking public transit, head to a nearby bus stop for the appropriate route; if driving, proceed to the parking area to return by car. This concludes a fulfilling day of hiking.
